How to read these fees

There are two costs in every marriage registration. The first is the government fee — a fixed, official charge paid to the Registrar, Marriage Officer or SDM. It is small: roughly ₹100 under the Hindu Marriage Act and ₹150 under the Special Marriage Act, with a ₹25 certificate and, in some cases, a ₹400–500 court-fee stamp or a tatkal charge near ₹2,100. The second is our advocate-assisted service fee — what you pay us to prepare and check your documents, arrange the ceremony or notice, coordinate witnesses and follow the file through to the certificate.

We keep the two separate on purpose, so you always know exactly what goes to the office and what is for the assistance. The final service fee depends on your city, the route, urgency, document condition, witness support, and any NRI, foreign-national or apostille work. Where extra government, stamp, notary, translation or embassy charges apply, we tell you before anything begins.

Why our fee is worth it

The government fee looks tiny, but the office will not fix a mismatched name, a weak age proof or a wrong jurisdiction for you — and those are exactly what cause repeat visits and rejections. A clean, correctly-routed file usually saves more than our fee in wasted trips, lost leave and delays. The reliable way to know your real cost is to send your city, route and document list; we quote a realistic figure first, then you decide.

Questions & Answers

Pricing FAQ — Government & Service Fees

What is the government fee for marriage registration in India?

The official fee is small: about ₹100 under the Hindu Marriage Act and ₹150 under the Special Marriage Act, plus a ₹25 certificate. Solemnisation at the Registrar’s office is around ₹150, and a court-fee stamp of ₹400–500 applies in some states. These go to the office, not to us.

What is the Arya Samaj marriage fee?

Our Arya Samaj assistance starts from Rs. 3,100 for eligible couples, covering the Vedic ceremony coordination, paperwork, photographs and the same-day certificate. Legal registration under the Hindu Marriage Act carries the small government fee of about ₹100 separately.

What is the court marriage fee?

Court marriage assistance starts from Rs. 5,100, with complete file support from Rs. 6,100. The government registration fee of ₹100–150 and any ₹400–500 court-fee stamp are separate.

What is the SDM or Special Marriage Act fee?

Our SDM / Special Marriage Act support starts from Rs. 11,000 because it involves the 30-day notice, residence proof and three witnesses. The government charges are ₹150 registration plus ₹150 solemnisation.

What is the NRI or foreigner marriage fee?

NRI and foreigner files start from Rs. 30,000 because passport, visa, single-status certificate and apostille or embassy work are usually involved. The government fee is ₹150 under the Special Marriage Act; embassy and apostille charges are extra and variable.

Is there an extra fee for same-day or tatkal registration?

Where an office allows tatkal, the government adds a priority charge of roughly ₹2,100 on top of the normal fee. Same-day handling is only possible for eligible couples with a complete file; ask us whether your case qualifies.

Are government fees included in your price?

No. Our fee is for advocate-assisted documentation and coordination only. Government, stamp, notary, travel, translation, apostille and embassy charges are separate and shown to you up front where they apply.

Can I get an exact quote on WhatsApp?

Yes. Send your city, marriage route, preferred date and document list on WhatsApp and we’ll give you a practical figure — both the government fee and our service fee — before anything begins.

Why can the final fee change from the starting price?

It changes with urgency, missing or mismatched documents, witness support, affidavit needs, NRI or foreign-national facts, travel and local office requirements. The starting price assumes a clean, complete file.

Do you guarantee the marriage will be registered?

No honest service can guarantee an authority’s approval. What we guarantee is a correctly prepared, correctly routed file, which removes the avoidable reasons offices reject or delay a registration.
